Today I have two cards to share with you, along with a funny story about them. Every month I go to my uplines house. We get together to stamp, exchange ideas and swap cards. Last month as I gave my swap to Mary, she started laughing. Then she showed me one of our projects for the month. We obviously had come across the same idea online (thanks Patty Bennett) and used that in our projects. Here are the two cards:
The flowers are pretty much identical!! The rest of the card is very similar. If you are curious to get the specific differences, check out the stampin supplies listed below. To create the flowers you'll need to start with a piece of shimmery white. I ran that through my Big Shot with the Manhattan Flower textured impression die. I then turned it over so the raised lines of the flower were on the bottom side of the paper. I used my brayer to add the color, but before you apply the ink to the flowers, use your brayer on a piece of scrap paper to remove some of the ink. You don't want the ink to be too heavy. Apply the ink in different directions - first I used regal rose, then summer sun. This color combination created a resulting color very similar to cameo coral.
